Opportunities
Sunday School Teachers
We serve our Lord and His people by teaching God's Word and caring for the young saints. Opportunities for beginners and experienced teachers/leaders are often open. Choir Fall Choir rehearsals have resumed meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. We are working on Fall anthems, as well as Christmas music. If you are interested in singing with the choir, we would love to have you join us! You do not need to have a great voice or have experience singing in a choir. Please contact Steve Randolph for more information or with any questions. Ushers And Greeters
One great way to serve the Lord with gladness is by offering your time to serve as either an usher, a greeter, or both. Meeting people, making them feel welcome and at home, and helping them to find their way around the church are all a part of this important ministry. Ol' Sew 'n Sow's - Using their gift of loving to sew, to show the love of Jesus. This group meets each Monday from 10:00 am until around 4:00 pm. This is really a relaxed group, with beginners to experienced quilters. All are welcome who want to learn to sew. This started as a ministry making baby quilts for CareNet Pregnancy Resource Center, lap quilts for Seniors and our military, dresses for Africa and school supply bags. But the greatest gain is the great fellowship shared with each other. The laughter and sharing are abundant! Altar Guild These members serve their Lord and their church by preparing and caring for our sanctuary in ways too numerous to list. Men's Club Men's Club meets monthly at local restaurants for fellowship and to discuss business. Along with doing various work tasks around the buildings and grounds, these men sponsor the quarterly blood drives and annual Easter breakfast. Bass Club This club has fishing tournaments and fellowship with other Christians. Join us! Don't be "the one that got away." BEACON Committee This group serves as a liaison between our congregation and our local Waco Care Net and Mission Waco organizations. They cook and serve breakfast at The Meyer Center regularly, and also prepare and serve lunch at Mission Waco's Church Under the Bridge quarterly. |
