​Children's Ministry

Children's Sunday School 

• Grades Nursery - Kindergarten: Simply Loved (classrooms): This class teaches children to love Jesus and each other, created with the truth found in 1 John 4:7 in mind which says, 'Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.'
  
• Grades 1-4: Bible Basics (classroom): This class is learning how to use the Holy Bible and where to find their favorite Bible stories and characters. 
  
• Grade 5: Catechesis Training (classroom): This class undergoes instruction in the Catechism and how to apply it to their daily lives. 
  
• Grades 6-8: Select Devotions (classroom): This class is learning from a devotion study in preparation for new curriculum.
  
• High School and College Students (Youth Room): All high school and college students are invited to join in the Youth Room every Sunday for Bible Class! This will be a great time of study, building relationships, fellowship and fun! Breakfast is usually served. 
   

CONFIRMATION & CATECHESIS CLASSES: 
On Wednesday evenings, grades 6-8 meet in the Youth Room at 6:30 p.m. for Opening Prayer. After this time of Prayer, the classes separate: 

• Grades 6-7 will meet with Pastor Hesse (Conference Room)
• Grade 8 will meet with Josh McNamara (Youth Room) 

Grades 6-8 will not have class on Wednesday, November 23, 2025 - Happy Thanksgiving!
(Children/Youth Music is held on Wednesday evenings in the Music Room from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to allow time for any student/family wishing to participate.)

Community-Wide Children Events
Easter Egg Hunt held annually.
Fall Festival held annually. 

Special Children's Events
Special Events are planned for the children throughout the year.

​Children's & Youth Ministry Events

As the Music department puts together the 2025 Christmas Eve Program, we need to know who plans to participate. We are hopeful that ALL of the Sunday school children will be     involved in telling the story of Jesus’ birth! The songs will be taught on Sunday mornings. Therefore, we ask that ALL CHILDREN participating in the program attend Sunday School each week to learn the songs. The songs will also be available for download in MP3 format via a google drive link, or we can download them to a flash drive (if provided by the parents). We encourage you to play the songs at home or in the car for your children to have additional practice.
 
Please submit registrations by Sunday Nov. 16, to allow time to prepare speaking and acting roles. If you have any questions, please see Steve Randolph or Stephanie Boesche.

​Christmas Eve Rehearsal Information:

• Sunday, Dec. 7: 1st-8th Grade - 12:00-2:00pm (lunch provided)
• Sunday, Dec. 14: 1st-8th Grade - 12:00pm-2:00pm (lunch provided)
• Monday, Dec. 22: Nursery-8th Grade - 6:00-7:30pm (Christmas Party following)

UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS

HILDREN/YOUTH CHOIR: Students will meet in the Music Room from 6:00-6:30 p.m. This schedule allows students in Confirmation classes, which will be from 6:30-7:45 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, to participate in upcoming holiday worship music rehearsals. ​UPCOMING SUNDAY SCHOOL EVENTS: 

• Sunday, November 23, Family Ornament Sunday: All of our St. Paul families are encouraged and invited to join us in the Family Life Center from 9:15am-10:15am as we make and prepare our family Chrismon ornaments. Be sure to join us in worship the following week as our Chrismons are blessed! 
• Sunday, November 30, Family Ornament Blessing: Join us for worship and experience the blessing of our family ornament Chrismons as they are used to decorate our sanctuary as we begin to head into the Advent season.

​BIBLE BUCKS: Reminder, the Bible Bucks Store is open each Sunday from 9:15 am to 9:25 am. 

• ​SHUT-IN GREETING CARD KITS- The Children’s Ministry has been partnering with the Elders to provide homemade greeting cards for our shut-ins. ADULTS and children can stop by the Sunday School office to get a take-home greeting card kit (there is no age limit on who can complete a kit). Simply use the enclosed supplies and idea sheet to create as many greeting cards as you want. Please return the kit when you are done (children earn $1.00 Bible Buck for each specially made greeting card). If you have a kit at home that you have not finished, please complete and return it as soon as possible so that it can be restocked. If you are unable to complete the kit, you are welcome to return it and someone else can complete it. If you have any questions, please stop by the Sunday School office.
